HEADBAND

Row 1: Skip 2 chains (counts as first sc and ch 1 space). Work 1 sc in 3rd ch from hook. {Ch 1, skip 1 ch, work sc in next ch}. Repeat between {} across ending with sc in last ch stitch. (10 sc & 9 ch 1 spaces)
Row  2: Ch 2, turn (turning chain counts as first sc and ch 1 space). Skip 1 sc. Work sc in first ch 1 space. {Ch 1, skip 1 sc. Work sc in next ch 1 space.}  Repeat between {} across ending with sc in the turning ch 2 space from the previous round. (10 sc & 9 ch 1 spaces)
Row 3-61: Repeat Row 2.

Fasten off leaving a long end of yarn (about 8 inches). Laying flat your finished piece will measure approximately 15 inches long.

CENTER WRAP

Starting out: Leaving a long end of yarn (about 6 inches), ch 11.

Row 1: Skip 2 chains (counts as first sc and ch 1 space). Work 1 sc in 3rd ch from hook. {Ch 1, skip 1 ch, work sc in next ch}. Repeat between {} across ending with sc in last ch stitch. (6 sc & 5 ch 1 spaces)
(6 sc & 5 ch 1 spaces)
Row 3-15: Repeat Row 2.

Fasten off leaving a long end of yarn (about 6 inches).

Finishing: Fold your headband in half and line up the edges. Thread the long end of yarn onto your tapestry needle. Whip stitch the edges together working through the top of the sc from the last row and through the ch 1 space from the beginning row. Then whip stitch through the ch 1 space from the last row and through the center of the sc from the beginning row. Long ends will end up on opposite sides. Tie the two ends together and secure with a double knot. Weave in ends.

Assembly: Thread the long end of yarn on the center wrap onto your tapestry needle. Center the center wrap under the seam of the headband (where you whip stitched the edges). Fold the center wrap around the seam of the headband. Line up the edges and whip stitch together. Tie off. Weave in ends. Turn your finished headband right side out (seam on the inside)
