Blanket Inspiration

A blanket for Isabel...
She picked this one herself. It suits her perfectly! Colorful, random, and completely awesome.
We took a trip to Hobby Lobby and returned home with eight-teen colors. And... I already have 10 squares completed!
(Pictures coming soon...)
This blanket inspiration was found via Pinterest. If you love this granny square awesomeness and want to create a random, colorful granny blanket of your very own... It's super simple! You can find a quick granny square how to here. Work 7 rounds and then one round of single crochets.
I haven't decided on a joining method yet... I think a seamless join will be perfect. I'm taking suggestion!

Thank you for all the good wishes for 2012!
It's going to be a good year. ♥

  3. It is going to be such a cute blanket.
If you like seamless, probably you should consider JOINING AS YOU GO ALONG. Coincidentally, I just posted a pattern for a granny blanket. Mine has a plaid look, but it is granny, and the joining technique can be applied to yours (excluding the last sc row). Check it out: http://www.arteenhilo.blogspot.com/2012/01/plaid-granny-blanket.html
I posted other links for joining ideas, as well. Hope this helps!

  7. It's going to be a beautiful blanket, all those lovely colours to play with, I like the join as you go method as well, works well as long as there isn't too much matching up to do. :)
