How to Make a Tangled Happy Wand

I do hope some of you give this tutorial a try. It's a really fun project to share with your little people. They can easily stuff, paint and tie on ribbons. Lots of fun!
Materials and Tools:
  • Two completed Tangled Happy Stars. Find the pattern here.
  • Embroidery Floss. This step is optional. I used 3 pieces of embroidery floss about 24 inches long; tie a knot in the bottom of the string; tread your tapestry needle; do a back stitch around the inside swirl of the star; tie your beginning tail and end tail together and trim. Repeat with second star.
  • Yarn.
  • Crochet Hook 4.25mm, Tapestry Needle, Scissors, & Hot Glue Gun.
  • Wooden Dowel, Acrylic Paint, & Paint Brush.
  • Ribbons & Stuffing.
Step 1: You will need your two completed stars, tapestry needle, stuffing and a piece of yarn about 36 inches long. With right sides together whip stitch stars starting and ending 3 stitches from the bottom center. Do not tie off. Turn your star right side out. You may need to use your dowel to push out the tips of your star. Then stuff to your likeness.

Step 2: With your tail sc around the opening. Do a second round decreasing each st at you go. Do a third round of sc. Leaving a space just big enough to slip in your dowel. Tie off. Tuck in tail.

Step 3: Slip your painted dowel into the opening of the star about 3/4 of the way up. Hot glue and squeeze the opening of the star around the dowel.
Step 4: Tie on your ribbons using a double knot. Secure with hot glue. Done!

I also wanted to share with you the inspiration behind these Tangled Happy Wands. In December my friend Dori at The Dreaming Bear did a giveaway and one of the items was a painted "play" magic wand. I was sitting and admired it and "POOF" an idea was born. Tangled Happy Wands! Dori is truly an artist and I love her work! You must take a look at her Etsy ShopShe just added some of her wonderfully colorful paintings. I really, really want one! Perfect for my little creative corner.

  14. Have you ever been ready to start a weight loss program only to put it off
another month because it just seems like too much work for not
enough rewards. The convenience of these small pellets is what has
them growing in popularity so quickly. The use of beauty products
