Bea at Knitting and Some More is sharing these pretty little potholders. While cooking and serving a crowd on Christmas this year I realized we are in desperate need of potholders! We were grabbing anything we could find to substitute for our lack of potholders. So these are going on my 2011 must have list. I made three of them last year as a gift for my Mom. They are very pretty sitting out on her table. I'm thinking I need a stack of them in bright bold solid colors. Mmm... Simple and beautiful! Find the pattern here.

  1. Such a lovely potholder! Thanks for sharing the link!

  2. Hi Sara.
Thankyou for the post. Can you help...I have got to the part where you treble twice into each previous stitich...then I am stuck. What is the pattern? I would love to crochet these!
    Thankyou for your help

  3. Hi Elizabeth. I will try to help. Sounds like you are stuck on round 3. I have made these before but it has been a few month so I'm going off the top of my head. Looks like you chain 3, 2 tr in the st after the join then repeat {1 tr in the next, 2 tr in the next} all the way around. Does that help? Do you usually read US or UK terms? That can be a little confusing as well if you are not use to it. This pattern is written in UK terms. When I made these I did all hdc instead of dc as she does in the pattern (I'm using US terms). Seemed to make them thicker. Hope I didn't make this more confusing!
